Kartik Balaram
Kartik Balaram has more than 15 years of consulting experience in executive compensation and related governance. He advises Board of Directors and management teams of private and public companies on a wide range of issues including executive & Board of Director compensation, annual and long-term incentive design, broad-based equity strategy, severance and change-in-control benefits, and broader governance & regulatory topics.
Kartik’s industry expertise is focused on the technology, life sciences, and renewable energy sectors, advising venture/private equity backed start-ups to Fortune 500 organizations. He has significant experience supporting companies through various stages of their lifecycle, specifically those preparing for go-public transactions (IPO, SPAC, reverse mergers, and spin-offs). Currently, he helps lead Meridian’s Technology Industry Team and sits on the Advisory Board of the Silicon Valley Director’s Exchange (SVDX).
Prior to Meridian, Kartik was the San Francisco office leader and NA West Region Lead for Aon Human Capital (Radford, McLagan, Aon-Hewitt). Kartik received his B.A. in Economics-Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
