Since 2004, Jon has advised Boards and senior management teams in all areas of executive compensation, including compensation philosophy, cash- and equity-based incentive design, severance and change-in-control arrangements, aligning pay-for-performance, public disclosure, outside director compensation, corporate governance policies and practices, initial public offerings/SPAC mergers and compensation benchmarking.
He has experience working with companies across a variety of industries, including building products, food/beverage, industrial manufacturing, consumer products, energy, healthcare, automotive and technology. Jon also has experience working with public and private multinational companies, including companies headquartered, domiciled or listed in Australia, Canada and Europe.
Jon is a frequent contributor to Meridian’s Energy Insights blog and other Meridian-published thought-pieces. Jon is also a frequent presenter, speaker and publication author to professional organizations such as the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the Texoma Association of Total Rewards, Corporate Board Member, Financial Times’ Agenda Week, CEO Magazine and Equilar. Jon is a member of the Texoma Association of Total Rewards Board of Directors and chairs its Executive Compensation Specialty Forum. Jon also serves on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Chamber Symphony.
Jon received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Purdue University, a Master of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Roosevelt University, a Graduate Finance Certificate from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business and has been a Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP) as designated by WorldatWork.
